Is anyone else surprised by the lack of some simple natural language parsing when entering a task?
A manually entered task like “Call Joe on Monday” could become “Call Joe” with a context of “Call” (if I have a “Call” context) and a start date for the next Monday. This would really lower the friction of entering short tasks and would ensure more comprehensive capture of those smaller items. Fantastical does this for calendar items but the calendar is for appointments, not tasks.
I haven’t sent this in as a feature request because it seems obvious to me that it must have been considered. I’m just curious as to why it’s not in the re-designed Omnifocus.
