Automation in OmniFocus 2.14 (released 2016-04-26)

Hi all,

fairly new to this, so please bear with me…

I’m trying to set up a template that looks like this:
Make «percentage»% gel @due(«date» «time»)
Prepare/load samples and run gel @due(«date» «time» +1hour)
Transfer gel to membrane @due(«date» «time» +90minutes)

All works, except for the +90minutes… I’ve tried +90min, +90 minutes, +90 min… nothing works… any ideas?

Many thanks

Have you tried +90m ?

that takes it to 90 months 😊
I’ve also tried +1.5hours, +1.5 hours, +1 hour +0.5 hour

maybe it just doesn’t work if I have hours in the previous task and minutes in the next one? if so, maybe I should change all my ‘hours’ to 60 minutes and see if 90 minutes work

nope, +60minutes and variations of that don’t work either… maybe +min doesn’t work at all? @kcase
thanks

I have been away from this project for a while, is there still not support for adding tasks to an existing folder/project structure?

I am trying the example below and when I run it through the editorial workflow repeatedly it creates multiple copies of the folder structure instead of creating it on the first run and then adding to it on future runs.

Folder A:
Proj 1:
- task 4
- task 5
- task 6
Proj 2:
Proj 3
Folder B:
Sub Folder:
Deeper Project:
- task
- sub task I
- sub task II
- sub task III
- task
- task
Folder C:

@kcase This @project(string) idea would be perfect…

Any chance that a “Quick Entry” mode could be added within OmniFocus itself that leverages the Taskpaper syntax described here? Right now I have a pseudo-quick entry method using Drafts and some custom buttons, but having it native would be amazing.
