Bug and confusion related to copy pasting a project

Regarding OmniFocus on the iPhone, version 3.0.3.

I am duplicating a project by copy-pasting it. It’s working, but not as I expected, and something weird happens in the process.

Here is a video demonstrating it: https://youtu.be/YwsTwRBgQ08

I expected to be able to paste to buy long pressing on a folder, but that does not work. However, I can long press on a project and then paste. The new project is pasted as a peer, alongside the original. So that’s fine.

But it also creates an artifact of the project’s URL, as a new action within the ORIGINAL project.

I know that’s a little confusing, but the video should help clarify.

So I am requesting the ability to paste by long pressing on a folder, and also reporting the bug up that weird you are L-action artifact when pasting.

Anybody else experiencing this? Thanks.

(I am also sending the same to support.)

This is a feature that was implemented in OmniFocus 2.14 to enable automation by adding TaskPaper format which allows you to reuse data. There is more info at https://support.omnigroup.com/omnifocus-taskpaper-reference/.

You can turn off the metadata associated with TaskPaper using the URL omnifocus:///change-preference?OFMTextExportShouldIncludeTaskPaperMetadata=false and then confirming the change on your device.

Thank you for the link, happy to have a normal text format back.
But why does it not copy the perspective exactly like opened?
I only want to send the tasks that still need to be done by e-mail but Omnifocus exports all tasks without making any distinguishing sign between those that have been completed and those that haven’t.
