Change standard layout to compact layout

There used to be the possibility to change the standard layout to a more compact layout, see this topic:

After upgrading to OS X 10.11 and Omnifocus 2.4 this does no longer work. Is there still a way to use the more compact layout?

Isn’t this the new Custom Columns view, available since 2.3?
