Being able to link to external files and folders within an OO document is something that I find extremely useful, but the default formatting of links, with icons, is something that always bugs me: the icons generally mess up line spacing and are in any case redundant. Could we not have a preference to turn them off? (Or am I missing it?)
It is possible to enter URL file paths: OO recognises these as links, shows them without an icon and allows you to edit the displayed text without breaking the link, but the process is clunky. The option to turn icons off for dragged links would be much neater.
And while we are at it, why do pasted internal links (another row: Copy as Link) display at a larger font size than either the source row or the target row?
Thanks, Nick
