+1 on the new view being distracting. I don’t think the v2 appearance is required, but it’d be nice to have a setting to make the appearance of the calendar items and the tasks look very different in some way.

I’m glad this hasn’t died. I find it very difficult to distinguish a task & an event at a quick glance, it was easy before.

I have sent the email for a +1 - I believe the user should have the choice as I can understand how you would like the new feature in OF3 but I personally prefer to be able to easily distinguish calendar/To Do entries as was the case in OF2.
