How do I activate folder badges for due/imminent tasks?

Am I missing something here, or does OF2 not have the orange and red badges that appeared alongside folders and projects in the OF1 sidebar to indicate due/imminent tasks? Other people seem to have been able to switch these badges on in OF2 – see here for example – but I’m not seeing them at all, no matter what perspective I’m in, and I can’t find an on/off setting anywhere either. Any help here much appreciated.

OmniFocus menu > Preferences > Notifications > Show reminders > In the Sidebar
