How do I delete a row?

I know this is a really dumb question, but I’m trying to delete rows in an outline and they won’t delete.

get out of text editing mode by pressing Escape key. That should keep the line highlighted. Then tap the delete key. hopefully that should work?

Thank you. I was also in focus mode which didn’t help.
