This is something that people want to do quite frequently but there’s no direct support for it. The custom perspective rules always filter your set of actions only. There is the series of ‘Has a project which…’ rules which allow you to filter on some properties of the project an action is contained in, but it doesn’t include the tags of the project.
It would therefore be very useful if rules were added for ‘Has a project tagged with any/all of:’ and ‘Has a parent tagged with any/all of:’.
There is however a possible workaround by relying on text search with the ‘Matches search terms:’ rule. For this to be effective your tag name should be unique in your database. The behaviour of this rule which we’re relying on is different to what was intended by design, so keep in mind that it might change in future versions of OF (in that case, hopefully there would be an alternative like the additional rules above).
