Whenever I use the omnifocus search spotlight it only seems to search through the information that is currently present and in focus on my screen. But sometimes I want to find that one item I just can’t remember where I put so I need a global omnifocus search. How to do? Thanks!
I talked to the Omni folks about this, and until they actually make a global search feature, you can do this little trick. While in the context or project tab, click the tab again to expand it entirely. Then you can hit the search bar.

Thanks for the reply JoshKincaid. I also learned another way. Go to the projects perspective, select the View menu, select “All” - this makes all info viewable and searchable. It works well.
