How to see my dashboard, toolbar etc

I have been studying the Lynda.com OmniFocus tutorial and also the OmniFocus 2 Pro Handbook.

Hoping to practice with my OmniFocus dashboard
but do not see how to get out of the OmniFocus 2 Pro Handbook
and see my dashboard, toolbar etc.
