Is if possible to 'Link' a task from one project to another?

Due to lack of some options in OF2 I found a way to create my “To-Do” list for a given day. I don’t use it every day, as I usually use perspectives with “Due” sorting and grouping, but occasionally I will cut the tasks from different folders and paste them in my sequential project “Today.”

I know it’s not ideal and I know I could just assign “due dates” to these projects, and my perspective “Today” would show only the projects for today. All is good, but not ideal for me.

Is there any way I could link the project, so completing it in my project “Today” would knock it down also in the original project?

You can get links to tasks by right clicking on them and selecting “copy item link.” You can put that in the notes of a task to easily reference them.
