I don’t think this has changed from OF 1, but I think it’s not correct.
If I create a task group with five tasks, and flag the group (so the five tasks inherited the flag), six flagged tasks are added to the flagged count.
If I create a task group with five tasks, and make the group due today (so the five tasks are due today), six due tasks are added to the due count.
I think it should be five in each case. Especially if I am not using the option “Include projects and groups” in context view.
That is, I have five items that are due/flagged, that are grouped for organizational purposes. Not six.
