OK, I have been a loyal OF user for a long time, but never purchased OG v1.
Can someone tell me that this is absolutely worth $100 to purchase and have the Pro upgrade for visio support.

Do you mean OG for iPad or for the Mac? The Mac Pro version has several reasons to get it besides Visio support. For example it nicely supports table creation. There’s also virtually no $$ penalty if you buy OG standard, then later upgrade to pro (at least if you buy at OmniGroup direct, don’t know about App Store).
I don’t really use OG for the iPad, so can’t comment on that situation.
Yes the iPad version. My older MAC died and I have not replaced as of yet.
