Mail Drop Syntax - Outlook 2016 Windows

I have been trying to get the mail drop syntax working right. I have tried multple syntax attempts but still does not seem to be wokring out right when it shows up in OF. Here is what I have tried so far.

  1. In the subject of the Mail Drop email I have put the following
“— Test task from outlook to OF :: work # today !”
I have also tried it without spaces as follows: “—Test task from outlook to OF ::work #today !”

  2. I have also tried putting this in the body of the email in similar formats as above…

What ends up showing in OF is a task in my INBOX saying “— Test task from outlook to OF :: work # today !”. It does not get assigned to the work project or be assigned with today’s date or flagged…

Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance…

Maildrop doesn’t parse email data, so all there is is the subject becoming the name of the action, and the body going in to notes. The action is placed in the inbox.

Parsing of data in Maildrop has been requested, though so you could email omnifocus@omnigroup.com to also vote for it.
