New tasks defaulting to February 1

Hi,
I am having a issue: all new tasks with a tag have an automatic defer date of February 1st. YOu can not change it in the “Changed” perspective.

As a workaround I was thinking I can changes the settings in each perspective to show “remaining” so i can keep working. I tried this but it made too many deferred tasks show up along with the new ones. So, in the end, it was unusable.

Sounds like the project those tasks belong to may have been deferred? If so, clearing it should solve the problem.
