Note Functionality +

I’ve installed your latest version 2.5, and have been using it frequently.
It looks like the following issues haven’t really been dealt with. I took some time to articulate them in detail, along with requests for improvement.

  • indent and outdent text causes the entire task to compress horizontally, rather than the specifically highlighted paragraph of text within a note.

  • links pasted into Notes: if more than one link is pasted into a note in close proximity, OmniFocus will often apply one hyperlink to both links, and retain that inaccurate hyperlink when copy and pasted elsewhere. There is no open to remove hyperlinks within OmniFocus, or even format to plain text. So I have to copy and paste text into TextEdit.app to do this. Even so, it will often retain its formating when pasted back into OmniFocus

  • often text within a note will suddenly revert to the greyed-out original format while typing, leaving the rest of the text, so two styles take place in the same sentence

  • ability to REMOVE hyperlinks/deactivate hyperlinking

  • Option for a shortcut or way to tab quickly into typing NOTES, without having to use the mouse to point and click on that tiny note button

  • the ability to command-Open tasks, not just projects and contexts. So it would open selected within its project. The more general request here is to be able to get to information more quickly.

  • More responsive search functionality: I seem to have to click the left-hand general “Projects” section a few times in order to search the whole database. Then re-navigate to the search field to enter.
Also, the app hangs somewhat during this process even though I am using a fast machine. (MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB)

  • OmniFocus for mac has a lag in general. I don’t have media or even images loaded it into tasks, only text. Even basic stuff like scrolling has a bit of a stutter. There are also slight delays when opening and closing folders for example. There is a snappyness that other applications have, which OmniFocus does not, as if it were made for some other OS.
