The Style palette in OmniOutliner likes to open in the middle of the screen when you first open it, but once it’s moved to the side, it will remember its place so long as the app remains open. Once you quit the app, however, it forgets this place and re-emerges at the center of the screen.
Older versions of OO didn’t have this problem. In fact, I think originally it clung to the righthand side of the screen in 2.
