Open OO w/o sidebar?

Every time I open a new outline, it appears with the sidebar exposed. Since I don’t need the sidebar to start a new document, I manually close it and get to work.

But since I like starting new outlines for a lot of purposes, I’m constantly closing the damn sidebar. Is there any way I can make it a default to open a new outline without a visible sidebar?

Sidebar visibility is saved in the template (as well as regular documents). So you could use the Resource Browser to edit your default template, hide the sidebar, and save the template. Now any new documents created from that template will not have a visible sidebar.

Holy cow, that’s simple. Thanks!

That was easy! I had the same question as the OP but was too lazy to ask!

Is there any way to relocate the sidebar to the right-hand side to the window?
