Restore Miscellaneous project

Accidentally deleted the Miscellaneous project. Since it collects all actions not assigned to a project, I would like it back with that feature. Can it be restored?

Hi Dave! Yes, it is possible to restore the Miscellaneous project. To do so you’ll first want to make sure you have OmniFocus set to “Clean up Inbox items which have: ‘A Context’ or ‘Either a Project or a Context’”. Then you’ll want to add an item in your Inbox, and only assign it a context. When OmniFocus next cleans up it should recreate this Miscellaneous project.

*Note: Once OmniFocus generates this Miscellaneous project, you can rename it to anything you’d like, and it will continued to be used automatically for any items assigned a context but not a project.
