Script to change tag formatting?

Hi,

I’m seeking assistance for setting up scripts to automate certain functions in OmniOutliner, but I’m all thumbs when it comes to setting up scripts. I’m wondering if anyone can give me some help setting up a script the reformats the tags under my Tag column.

Right now, each of tags has an hashtag prefix, an underscore where there’s a space between words, and [space][+][hashtag] separation between each tag – even for the very first tag in the column. I’m seeking a script that can do the following:

  1. Delete the hashtags (#'s) in the Tags column. IOW, change #R_12 #User_complaint #User_14 #Mac_user #boy #gamer to R_12 User_complaint User_14 Mac_user boy #gamer and then…

  2. Change the [space][+][hashtag] formatting with semicolons and delete the underscores used for space separation only in between tags. IOW, change R_12 User_complaint User_14 Mac_user boy #gamer to age R 12;User complaint;User 14;Mac user;boy;gamer
