How do I stop folders from automatically expanding when I drop projects into them?

I keep all projects inside of folders organized by areas of focus. Some of the folders have 30 projects in them. During my review process at the end of each day I move any newly created projects to appropriate folders. When I do this I have to drop the folder and then re-collapse the folder before moving on. Is there a way to turn this off?
