I’m using OF3 on two Macs and one iOS device. I’m finding I have to remember to manually sync when leaving a device, or I may find myself at home with no access to the tasks I created while at work and vice-versa. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to make sure Omnifocus always syncs every 5 min or when backgrounded or something like that?
What does looking at OF’s Preferences > Synch > Synch details reveal?
You ought to be able to set it to synch automatically, and not have to think about it.
On the Mac, you can hit Command-S to start a sync. The sync icon in the top toolbar will start spinning until done.
I’d you have keyboard maestro, you can create a macro that does a sync Command-S every 5 minutes.
On iOS, I think the operating system determines how much to sync if the app is in the background.
