Tasks of a due project in forecast view

I’ve got a sequential project with multiple steps (tasks), for example “Pay to employees”. When I set the project to repeat every month on a particular day, all of it’s tasks are visible in the forecast. How to show only the project (top-level) item in the forecast view?

If you set a due date on projects, all of its tasks inherit that due date, hence why all of them appear in the forecast.
If you want only one task of the project to appear in the forecast, you have to set a due date on only one task.
In other words, it won’t work.

A possible work around that comes to mind would be setting your project to parallel instead, have a 1st task that you would set a due date on and then a sub-project (task with sub-tasks) set to sequential, with all your sequential tasks into it… hope it makes sense :)

Thanks for suggestion, Edi :) I’m really surprised there is no out of the box way to do this in OmniFocus, though…
