View today widget list in the actual app

I love being able to customize the today widget, and it shows exactly what I want to do today:

  1. It shows tasks that are due today, which MUST get done
  2. It shows tasks that were deferred until today, so they are on my radar and I can either do them, or defer them to another day.
  3. Finally, it has any tasks that I’ve flagged, items that I choose to do this particular day but have no due or defer date.

I would like to be able to view this list inside the actual app as well, and not just in the Today widget. Is this possible? Is there a way to make a custom perspective just like this?

You can create a perspective that is almost identical.

You can adjust your grouping and sorting to be however you’d like, but the key bits are these:

Filter by status: Due or Flagged
Filter by availability: Available

The only difference is that it will show you anything that is available, not just those that became available today. If you’re fastidious with your defer dates and flagging, though, you should have what you’re looking for.
