Some of the ways I use haptic feedback are to assist with graphic alignment and making connections.
Alignment
In a document align 2 graphics. You will feel the haptic feedback when the items align vertically or horizontally.
In a document where one object is rotated, rotate a copy of that object. When the second object is at the same rotation degree, you will feel the haptic feedback.
Connection
In a document where you have magnets on some graphics, connect the graphics with lines at the magnets. As you are close enough to the magnet to attach to it, you will feel the haptic feedback indicating a magnet is there to connect to.
When you are changing the magnets used to connect graphics, you should feel the haptic feedback when you are near each magnet.
There may be a few more, but these are the main ones that I use. I’d love to hear from other people which types of haptic feedback they use. If there are any new ways you’d like to see haptic feedback used, feel free to email us requests by choosing Contact Omni under the Help menu.
Thanks,
Lanette
