Add OF project natively from Shortcuts

I’m trying to find a way to Create a new OF Project from Shortcuts natively, put it into a folder and Add a Due date.

I was expecting there to be a Shortcuts action to “Add Omnifocus Project” but it’s not there.

I don’t want to revert to Taskpaper (I’m trying to move away from this) and I don’t to run scripts. I’m trying to keep it native.

Am I missing something?

I did a quick glance and there is no action like “Add OmniFocus Project”. Perhaps using “Omni Automation Script” Shortcuts actions and add OmniAutomation JS code to perform the action you want would be a reasonable alternative for you ?

I think TaskPaper would be the best option. It’s easy to update/customize and keeps everything contained within the Shortcut.

I’m curious why you’re trying to move away from using TaskPaper.

Thanks Tim,

That’s the conclusion I came to. I’ve been using Taskpaper from Drafts since it was adopted into OF 3 (I think). I use it for a fair few different type of checklists for personal and work reasons, but up until now was running each one, but then deleting the options I didn’t want (e.g. a packing list, is it a work trip, is it international, are we taking the dog…)

I wanted to move it into Shortcuts to allow me to pick options and it create the right actions, but after playing with Shortcuts for a couple of hours this evening, it seems awfully kludgy and not feature complete.

So I’m using Shortcuts for the Logic and to build the Taskpaper before using the OF Taskpaper action to add it to OF.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m not a developer though and haven’t got the time to learn new coding, especially when I won’t use it a lot.
