Assign a style from the inspector or text

OO styles are so frustrating.

I have styles like I want them in a raw in the document. How to I assign those styles to a “Style” in the left side style inspector so I can assign it to more places in the future.

I don’t know how to make that more clear but I’ll just keep going.

I have my whole outline written, Now I’m trying to style it.

I go to a row and I make it look jsut how I want to with font and background and such.

Now How I do create a new style so I can save it over on the left side.

Also, WHat are the checkboxes next to teh style. on teh bottom have of the left have style window. NEW STYLE then a check box

Actually, once you get used to them, Styles are pretty easy.

If you have the Sidebar open, select the 2nd button (the three are Sections, Styles, Filters). Then you should see options at the bottom of the side bar to create a new style. Apply that style to your row then set the attributes. There doesn’t seem to currently be a way to create a style from a selection (which is a miss).
The boxes next to each style are described in the help (search for “Style Swatches” for description).
Not sure this will answer all your questions satifactorily but hope it helps at least a little.
