I have an OO sheet with a column that ranks items (at the same Level) by priority: ‘1’, ‘2’, ‘3’, ‘4’, ‘5’, ‘6’… etc.
Is there an easy way to shift everything ‘down’ by one number so that, for instance, ‘3’ becomes ‘4’, ‘4’ becomes ‘5’ and so on when I need to insert a new number ‘3’, please?
TIA!
Could you please provide a sample outline document and a separate example of the expected output?
I can take a look

Hello again, Gabriel!
That’s a very kind offer :-)
You may remember helping me a few years ago; my own email address is the same, if you’d prefer that… maybe a DM first - although I’d hate to put you to a lot of trouble if this is not straight forward :-)
Attached a sample file. I want to avoid having to change each of the values from ‘4‘, ‘5’, ‘6’, ‘7’ etc to ‘5’, ‘6’, ‘7’, ‘8’ etc in the Rank column after ‘Book C‘, the third row when I insert a new Row, namely:
‘(new) 4’ ‘Book D’ ‘Author D’ ‘Next’ ‘new ‘4’‘ ‘Waiting‘
In other words, each value in the ‘Rank’ column’ automatically increases by 1 or by as many whole numbers as I have inserted rows above it.
If you have any ideas, I’d be very grateful!
