I can use variables to insert something like <%Width%> x <%Height%> to display, for example: “43.5 in x 25x25 in”, but is there a way to actually do that math to calculate square inches or feet?
Thanks for the question! OmniGraffle doesn’t currently offer an “area” variable, nor do we support math in variables at this time, but I’ve added your +1 to the open feature requests for both of these in our tracker. Thanks for letting us know that’d be useful for your workflow!

Any progress on this? I notice that it’s been requested frequently since (at least) 2005. It’s becoming pretty limiting on Omnigraffle’s utility.
