I love the Forecast View, but sometimes want to drag and drop items to change the order in which they’re presented, but I can’t seem to do this. I know I can change the Due Date time by minutes to re-order them, but that’s a bit kludgey.
In Forecast’s View Options, try setting the Structure to Flexible and turn off the Keep sorted flag. With those changes, things will start out ordered by time, but you’ll be able to drag them around to reorder them however you wish.
Organized mode: Allow reordering of sections. Current order is Due, Today, Flagged. In my system, Flagged > Today so I’d like Due, Flagged, Today.
Organized mode: Allow manual reordering of items within each section
Organized mode: Allow automated ordering (by any of the sort orders in the Sort Once menu)
Flexible Bug: When switching between modes, Keep Sorted is always turned on and sometimes the checkbox state does not correspond to the logic. Workaround: need to click off and on again (or off) every time to be sure.
Flexible mode: Allow automated sorting like for (3).
Flexible mode: Many, many bugs when the state changes, e.g. a new action is created outside Forecast, an action is checked off, a new calendar event arrives (in general calendar events are often not in correct sort order), when flipping back and forth between Flexible and Organized, etc. etc.
Make events draggable. Don’t make users drag many actions around events. This would solve a lot of issues that make Forecast hard to work with and makes people such as me create special perspectives for the “Today” view.
