Change to autocorrection in OO 5.5

Did something just change in OO5? It looks like the autocorrection feature no longer capitalizes the first letter of the first word in a line. I’m using 5.5.3 (v197.13.0).

I’d like to apologize if this is not the right place to post this question and I hope you will point me accordingly.

I thought that OO used whatever the system preferences setting was (i.e. System Preferences > Keyboard > Text > Capitalize words automatically). That checkbox turns it on and off for me (in Sierra).
