Child task, but it is a project

This happens in a ‘Today’ perspective I made, not in the Project perspective: I’m seeing here that in the project “Do this” the last task of the project is task “Do this”. If I check it the Project is marked as completed and voilà. Tasks should be tasks and projects should be projects. What’s the mechanics of this?
