No, we’re two years down the road, and last year I stopped using OmniPlan. Companies and government organisations alike want a month by month forcast in ‘everything’, finance, workload per person etc. So I stopped using OmniPlan.
Sidestep: It was a project in the Netherlands, where really everybody works part-time, so even a rather small task will require 3 or 4 people. With Omniplan you can handle that really well, until one of these people needs an hour-per-month forecast.
Here’s how I do this in OmniPlan:
- Open your project in Gantt view.
- Click View | Gantt | Customize Task Labels
- At the top of the screen is a dropdown that says “Interval Tracking”
- Select “Interval Cost” or “Cumulative Cost”
- Click the magnifying glass in the top-right corner of the Gantt view and select “Month”
And voilà! Below each month header, you’ll see either the total cost of work done in that month, or the cumulative cost of work done up until that point (depending on what you selected in step 4).
