Are custom perspective icons supposed to sync / propagate across platforms and devices?
Generally speaking, custom perspective icons sync between devices. However, OmniFocus 4 introduced new built-in icons. If you’re using these new icons for your perspectives on devices running OmniFocus 4, they won’t be available on devices running OmniFocus 3. I hope this helps!
Thank you @timstringer. I am running OmniFocus 4 across the board, so OmniFocus 3 is not a concern.
The icons did eventually make their way to other devices but definitely not as quickly as new actions or even changes in custom perspective definitions do.

Are you using your own graphics or the built-in perspective icons? If it’s the former, it could take slightly longer to sync (though, based on past experience, I wouldn’t expect much of a lag).
Consider dropping a line to Omni Support (if you haven’t already). There may be room for further optimization.
