Defer Until, Due Date within same day for Repeating Task

Long-time Omnifocus user, and always looking to improve my workflows.

Here are the attributes of my task:

Dates
Defer Until: 3/18/19 12:00 AM
Due: 3/18/19 5:00 PM

Repeat
Repeat Every 1 Week
Days of Week Monday

Repeat From This Item’s:
Completion

With these settings, the option to Schedule the Next: Defer Until Date | Due Date are not available.

But if I change the Defer Until to 3/17/19 12:00 AM, then I am able to see that option and setup my recurring event as I would like.

What detail in the logic of OF’s Defer Until, or Due am I missing?

OmniFocus only gives you that choice when the two dates are different.

If the dates are the same and the option were presented, there would effectively be no difference between them.

What is it that you’re trying to accomplish?
