I am working in the “Available” perspective, and have set “filter by availability” to “Available”. I was hoping this would remove deferred actions from the view, but they are still showing up (albeit greyed out.) I don’t really want to see deferred actions in this view, as I would consider them unavailable. Is there any way to filter these actions out of the view?

If Availability is set to “Available” you shouldn’t be seeing any deferred items with dates in the future. By definition, they aren’t available.
If you post a screenshot of your custom perspective, I’d be happy to take a look.
