There are 2 ways to change the column order yourself. The Omni-Group implemented this option in version 4. Either your perspectives access the layout order of the display fields specified in the Omnifocus “Settings” or your own modification can be made in each perspective.
Below is the way to gain access to the change option in the currently used perspective. The fields can then be moved using drag & drop.
