Due dates and windows of opportunity

Hello, all.

I have a task which I want to do every three days, so I have the repeat set at “Due again: 3 days”. It’s a very important task, so it has a due date. When I check it off, the new instance shows up immediately in my project, with a due date three days out. But I just did it, so there’s no value to me in seeing it right now, and it clutters up my flow.

How can I set something due, say, 3 days out, and when I check it off as done, not see it until tomorrow? Or 2 days out?

Thanks!

Grace

Set the defer date as desired. Then the task will not appear until the defer date. When you check it off, the defer date on the new instance will also be reset appropriately.

Thank you. I’m experimenting, so maybe I’ll find out that I’m wrong, but I don’t think that will get me a new due date. Am I wrong?

If the task is a repeating task with a due and a defer date, both of them will be updated in the newly created task.
