A interesting response from OG:
I had the layer I was editting set to not visible (so I could see details covered by some other objets on the same layer). I dragged an item off the stencil and dropped on the canvas. After a bit of thinking, OG created a new layer with the dropped item instead of putting it on the layer I had set.
Not a common request of the system but still valid. If anything, it would be good to verify/confirm dropping on an not visible layer instead of just adding a new layer.
