Hello,
I was looking for some features I was missing. I’d like to see 2 things that could be added in the tags property (so an option per tag):
- inheritance to the childs
- group of mutually exclusives tags
Also, I’ve found this topic about an option that would solve the problem. I don’t understand why I can’t see in a perspective all the Childs of a project that matches the perspective…I have full of perspectives where I need to open the project to check all the tasks of it. https://discourse.omnigroup.com/t/tag-inheritance-two-icons-per-custom-perspective/41377?u=gigisteph
- For custom perspective filter rules, could we also have:
“Contained within project or group which is tagged with any/all of:”
I can go into detail about my use case if anyone is interested, but basically this would be a way to simulate tag inheritance in some situations without requiring it everywhere.

Below the topic I was going to write, with more explanations.
I use tags to represent the status of my projects:
• 0 = Idea
• 1 = Structured
• 2 = Almost Done
• 3 = Done
Currently, when I apply one of these tags, the others remain active if they were previously assigned. I would love a feature where selecting one of these tags automatically removes the others, making them mutually exclusive.
Additionally, it would be fantastic if tags (or groups of tags, such as a “Status” group) could have inheritance. For example, if I tag a project with “Status: 1 = Structured”, all actions within that project would automatically inherit the same status tag. And it would be an option per tag.
This would ensure clarity, reduce repetitive tagging, and maintain consistency across projects and tasks.
Is there a way to achieve this in the current version, or would this be a useful feature request for future updates?
Thank you for your time and consideration!
