I would like to request that the project due badges (yellow = due, red = overdue) shown in the Projects perspective are also be displayed in custom project-based perspectives.
In the Projects perspective, these badges provide an excellent visual overview of which projects currently contain due or overdue tasks.
However, as soon as I create a custom perspective that displays the same project hierarchy, these badges disappear.
As a result, I spend most of my time in the standard Projects perspective and use Quick Open to jump between projects, simply because the project due badges are not available in my custom perspectives.
To be clear, this request is not about sidebar badges or perspective counters.
It is only about the yellow/red project due badges displayed at the right side of each project row in the outline.
Displaying these badges consistently in all project-based outline perspectives would:
-
provide the same visual feedback as the Projects perspective
-
make the user interface more consistent
-
allow custom project perspectives to be used as a primary workspace
-
eliminate the need to switch back to the Projects perspective just to check which projects contain due or overdue tasks
This change would not alter any OmniFocus behavior or filtering. It would simply display the same project due information wherever the same project hierarchy is shown.
Thank you for considering this request.
