Forever Spinning Beach Ball Freeze Upon Export

Hi. I have a 8gig RAM Macbook Pro 2009 17" running 10.10.1 Yosemite with Omnigraffle 6.1
When I try to export a canvas to png, I get the spinning beach ball of death about 50% of the time.
It seems that saving the onmigraffle file before trying to export makes the spinning beach ball all but certain.
No other application (Photoshop, Illustrator, Webstorm, Apple Apps) I use does this. Unique to Omnigraffle :(

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

We’ve seen similar issues with OmniOutliner exporting for customers who use the program Default Folder X. Do you have that app installed?

No also . I have have no third party system extensions either
Any ideas?

Sorry, I don’t, but our Support Humans might! Please send an email to omnigraffle@omnigroup.com describing the behavior you’re seeing, and they’ll send you instructions to collect information that can help diagnose the issue.

Yes, I do have Default Folder installed. Any adjustments I can make so things go faster with exporting with OO?

Hi @mitchellm! Make sure you have the latest version of Default Folder X installed. Also make sure there aren’t any leftovers from old versions hanging out in ~/Library/Scripting Additions or /Library/Scripting Additions.

KyleS: Thanks, will do! I’ve just updated DefaultFolder.

I have Omnigraffle 6.6.1 (v169.20 r267128) installed in OS 10.11.6 and have the same problem. When I try to export a .graffle the program freezes and becomes unresponsive.

How can I solve that please?

Best,
Maya
