I do a lot of “idea dumping”, some of my projects have hundreds of items, in deeply nested lists.
But once I navigate to a different perspective and come back, they are all unfolded again.
I would love if collapse states were saved, or even an option to specify “keep this action group collapsed”
I tried to reproduce your problem, but I can’t manage it in either the current Mac or iPad version. Could you please upload a screenshot of the relevant Perspective options/settings?
Additionally: In my perspectives, I notice that the appearance of projects (collapsed or expanded projects) is remembered in the last used state when switching perspectives and appears the same when accessed again as it did when exiting. Even when Omnifocus is shut down, the state is saved and when restarting, tasks and projects appear as before in terms of display.
Thanks for your comment. You’re right, collapsed-state persists on my iPad. Unfortunately, I do 90% of my work on mac, and perspective / project changes unfold all, most of the time 🤔
I’m noticing, if I am just switching between projects, things stay collapsed. But if I navigate to Inbox, or any custom perspective, it’s all undone.
