Problem:
While editing a task in inbox, I’m often thinking
“is there already a task like this somewhere else?” or
“I should add this to a task I already created”
So I use search field to find that existing tasks. By default, the window switches from Inbox, or wherever I’m working, to a search window. Now I’ve lost my place, especially if I have to search a couple times, click through different perspectives, etc. Getting back to that original item to perform the merge or update gets a little complicated.
Feature request:
Allow the search to open a separate window, pop-over or sidebar, so I can see both tasks at once.
Workaround:
Using keyboard maestro, I mapped ⌘F to “Open new tab, and then search”
