How do I automatically unlock locked photo attachments?

I often attach photos to a task (usually on iPhone). When I look at them in Mac OS X, they are invariably locked. I often want to drag them somewhere else, into a folder on my laptop.

However, I can’t rename them without going to “Get info” and manually unlocking them.

Is there a way to set the attachment as “unlocked”?

I’m sorry about this! By default, those files live in a folder that isn’t set up to be accessed directly. I believe what’s going on here is that the permissions for that folder are being automatically being applied to the files inside. You’ve identified a use case that we didn’t take into account.

I haven’t found a way to work around that, but I have filed a bug on this so the rest of the team knows about the problem this is causing.
