How do you create an action group?

I have 2 actions in an sequential actions project that I would like to make into an action group. I cannot find a way to group them. I have tried dragging one action on top of the other, went through File/Edit/View/etc. pull down menus for the option to group them, and i’ve search the Omnificus forum for an answer.

So, how to go from
Project A
Action A
Action B
Action C
Action D

to
Project A
Action A

Action B
Action C
Action D

Practical example
Project Weekly tasks

  • Vacuum House
    ** Do Groceries
*** Take inventory of what you need to purchase
    *** Purchase items at supermarket
  • Take out trash

Or do I have the purpose and implementation of action groups all wrong?

Drag the task a bit to the right before you drop it on another task.

As @Jan_H mentioned above, while dragging a task on Mac you can drag the task a little to the right to indent it underneath a parent task. Alternatively, you can use the actions in the Organize menu, such as Indent (keyboard shortcut Command-]), Add Inside (Shift-Command-]) and Group (Option-Command-G).

For more detail, see the Creating Action Groups section of the OmniFocus user manual.

You might also want to check out my Creating Projects and Groups with OmniFocus 2 for Mac video (free). Among other things, it demonstrates how to group actions together.
