How to access any one project and look at it/ edit it
In Projects view, I cannot access any one project and look at it. This is bugging me, sorry.

When clicking in 1 project in the left column ⇢ I see ALL projects, with a long list of tasks,
how is it possible that OmniFocus does not allow me to access the specific project from the left column?

That is weird. When I try it (version 4.7.1) it works as expected. (single project displayed in the outliner)
Discourse says that you last posted 5 months ago. Has it always been behaving this way or is this a recent change?
Something’s wrong, it should work how you’re expecting. Click on a project on the left should open that project on the right
As a long-time user, I have never noticed the behavior of Omnifocus that you describe. Attached is a current screenshot of my Omnifocus. Could it be that you have not activated the Inspector (on the right in the screenshot) (a symbol in the form of a small I in a circle in the toolbar) and that is why neither projects nor tasks open?
Did a restart of the app, and voilà: it works as it should!
(When I saw the misbehaviour, it made me stressed out, so I didn’t think about a restart. )

Now that OF works again, I see, it doesn’t matter if the Inspector is on or not, it works.
(Maybe it was some memory problem . ich glaubte schon ich spinne!)
Something like this happens to me regularly when I have a project selected in the sidebar, in the main window create or paste a project. I have folders set to display in the main window. Then there will be more than one version of that folder showing, one containing the first project, and one containing the next. There may be more complicating factors to it. I haven’t bothered to nail it down or file a bug report.
This could be the reason, but let the experts comment (customer department?)
Maybe the reason why I could not access the content of my projects is somehow similar, as I usually have open 7 perspectives at the same time (yes it’s too many and I can’t look at all of them most of the time!).
As mentioned above, a simple app restart helped!
