How to change date format in display?

How do I change the due date display format? e.g. Mon 9 May '16 instead of 5/9/16

I don’t want to affect my whole computer, just this.

I’m posting this again because last time I put it in the wrong place.

The indirect way is the use the Mac’s System Preferences > Language and Region > Advanced… > Dates and customize it how you like it.

Unfortunately this affects all apps on your Mac, not just OF2.
