Not technically OF specific (but for me it has made the user experience much better) Mac only though I’m afraid.
Remove The Toolbars
As a previous defector to Things 3 and now back in the OF fold this simple hack vastly improves the look. Same applies to Safari and other apps, no more busy buttons which really only duplicate the Mac top bar and can be accomplished quicker with remembering a few keyboard combos.
People praise Things 3 look, and the general opinion seems to be Liquid Glass is an abomination at least on a Mac so maybe try it, it may help.
Thing 3? Tried that, but found that I don’t care what they look like, only how they work for me. I’ve tried a lot of todo-systems, but always come back to OF after a while.
Agreed, but… even Mailmate the most powerful but not pretty mail client looks better without toolbars. I think we have been conditioned to just accept lots of buttons fighting for even a small part of our vision, even though many are used either rarely or not at all.
Of course OF is powerful, and without doubt for many the “best” solution, my point was that Liquid Glass has led me to questioning interfaces in general and can they be improved.
